Xtra Point Kennels is a family-owned kennel in Texas that strives to maintain the highest standards of the Vizsla breed. We produce great Hungarian Vizslas that will develop into outstanding bird dogs who excel in the field and make great family companions in the home. We started raising Vizslas by only selecting individuals with outstanding bloodlines from some of America’s finest kennels. The Xtra Point trademark is “an Xtra Point Vizsla excels in the field and the home of a loyal owner!”

Our dogs are bred with much thought and effort placed on producing individuals with great confirmation and structure along with intelligence and athleticism. We want a Vizsla with endurance and the ability to hunt several hours a day. In order to do this their skeletal structure must be correct. We want them to have a fast and graceful gait which indicates great muscular and skeletal development. An Xtra Point Vizsla is bred for many years of hunting and companionship.

Along with the structural characteristics listed above, we want our Vizslas to be stylish, healthy, and easy to train. Temperament is a characteristic which we make a priority because we want a bird dog which makes an outstanding companion in all settings. The Vizsla temperament is that of a happy, devoted bird dog that is always eager to please. The Vizslas produced in our program will leave our kennel current on vaccinations, parasite free, happy, and full of energy.
